On The Footsteps Of Infamous Regime

On Sunday the Egyptian activists mainly from women protested in front of the Kuwaiti Embassy and despite their very small number the interior ministry took its precautions as if 1000 protesters were in front of the Kuwaiti embassy !! The traffic was horrible in Cairo and Giza thanks to the security measures in the way heading to the embassy because of a peaceful protest announced a day earlier by the national front for change.

Gamila Ismail headed the protest which was aimed to deliver a message to the Kuwaiti embassy but unfortunately Gamila and her sisters along with the families of the detainees to deliver the message still they managed to deliver the whole world.

The honorable ladies of Egypt by dear Sarah Carr

The Kuwaiti regime did a huge mistake by following the Mubarak regime footsteps in the political crackdown jeopardizing the reputation of Kuwait as a democratic country. More sorrowful details are revealed indicating the involvement of the Egyptian regime and the embassy regardless of denials starting from the presence of Egyptian officers searching the homes of the detainees to the complete absence of the embassy to the threatening statements of Abu El-Gait.

The Kuwaiti regime has done a great mistake against its people before us with its constant lies in front of its people and the world claiming that those detainees have broken the laws according to the following facts :

1// They did not protest and did  not plan to protest for any kind.

2//They were not the first foreigners in Kuwait to gather to discuss their home country political issues , in fact they were the quietest foreigners to discuss their matter.

3// There is no Kuwaiti law that bans protesting in the first and the evidence is the Iranian protests in front of the the Iranian embassy last year also the cedar revolution protests held by the Lebanese community !!

What is surprising was that that group of Egyptians had held a meeting 5 days prior to the arrest and it was covered in the media where they thanked Kuwait and praised its democracy that let them freely express their opinions without fear, of course they did not know that they would be deported and lose their jobs in this country they respect !! Not only that but they would be deported as if they were criminals with handcuffs in their hands !!!! Most detainees were treated good at the airport except Tarek Tharwat the coordinator of the campaign in Kuwait who is reportedly detained by the State security.

Mohamed ElBaradei has condemned the arrest and deportation of the Egyptians , already I hope he meets with that group ,it will mean a lot for them.

In the end I thank all the Kuwaitis who are standing with us in this case and I would like to tell the rest Arab countries that they should not listen to Abu El-Gait because Abu El-Gait will go along with his regime yet the Egyptian people will remain.
